PIGGY'S GOING TO HELL IF HE'S NOT CAREFUL

PIGGY’s GOING TO HELL IF HE'S NOT CAREFUL is an 8x6 signed, watermarked print on heavy paper. It was made using elements of a postcard sent to children who skip Sunday School. The cards often featured colorful graphics. They were lithographed or linen-style attendance reminders. I cutout the postcard pigs and words from the card. I added some clouds, flying pigs, and Jesus. His image is from a b&w photo of an actor in a German Passion. The words ending with “This little Piggy went to Sunday School and my! did he have fun!” were on the original postcard. These cards were common between 1930-1950s. But I am like way too old to get one, so maybe they are still out there alarming kids with their subliminal messages. Skip Sunday School and you might meet a terrible fate. #sundayschool #rallydaycard #rallyday #threelittlepigs #piggy #jesus #flyingpig #churchpostcard #churchschool #peterjketchum #ketchumart
