Let the haters attack, but I took a different path and made a satirical piece laden with misogyny and hypocrisy. I added a priest, a nun, and two adapted “risque” b&w postcards that are sort of an Italian version of late 1890s French postcards. Oh, and clouds. Always with the clouds. Make of the subtext what you will.
Of cycling Susan B. Anthony said “Let me tell you what I think of bicycling. I think it has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. I stand and rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a wheel.”
