So I ask, why can’t Congress do what Congress is supposed to do and shut up with the bipartisan bickering. Why can’t Congresspersons and Senators remember we, and not just those who can make their friends wealthy, are the people— the American People. Why can’t drug and energy companies, all powerful lobbyists, and soulless tech giants develop some moral sense and overcome their greed. Stop the partisan bullshit. Why are greed, fame, and self-interest (and self-preservation) the major goals of so many in Congress? If only all the lives of all people and all genders mattered equally. If only.
