THYME WAISTED

THYME
Speaking of the common thymus vulgaris, it is shown in an 8x6 signed original print. I made it with an adapted page from William Woodville”s hand-colored engraving of Thymus Vulgaris in his book Medical Botany made in installments from 1790-94. OH NO. you better not read it. There’s Indigenous stuff in it. Indiginity is banned by you know whom.
To a blue background I added the Woodville, some photos of thyme plants, a few clouds and whatz his name. You know, the guy who killed the education department. Ironically, Woodville’s book was meant to educate 18th century doctor’s about the use of herbal plants in their medical practice.
If you are yearning for a complete education and have the time, here is the full name of Woodville’s book at no extra charge. Sneak a copy and educate yourself. "Medical Botany, Containing Systematic and General Descriptions, with Plates, of All the Medicinal Plants, Indigenous and Exotic, Comprehended in the Catalogues of the Meteria Medica, as published by the Royal College of Physicians of London and Edinburgh: Accompanied with a Circumstantial Detail of their Medicinal Effects, and of the Diseases in which they have been Most Successfully Employed."
