BANANAS IN BORNEO
BANANAS IN BORNEO is an 8x6 signed print on heavy paper. I started with a b&w studio cabinet card showing three people (1890s) eating bananas . It was by Wisconsin photographer J.E. Letcher in Montfort. I believe the studio is still in business, but J.E. is not. Dead, don’t you know.
I enlarged the image, cut out the original backdrop, a generic studio painted scene. The banana eaters and the bananas were colored. I created a jungle and added some additional primates. (Yes, they have no bananas.) I put everything back into the original cardboard frame. Done.
