SEA OF EXCREMENT D.C.
SEA OF EXCREMENT D.C. is a 6x8 limited edition signed print. Set against a background from a detail in a painting by the Renaissance artist Priamo della Quercia, it shows a group of familiar fawners and flatters immersed and sinking into the filth of the Sea of Excrement. It the part of Hell reserved for their kind. At least that is what the Italian poet and philosopher Dante Alighieri wrote in his epic Divine Comedy, the D.C. of my title, wink wink. Actually the Divine Comedy isn’t so funny in places like the Hell part with the writhing in excrement, sewage, and stuff. All just for the sin of false flattery and pathologica, ill-deserved self-praise.
