THE RUBENESQUE MISS CORA OF THE WYMAN BROTHERS CIRCUS
"The Rubenesque Miss Cora of the Wyman Brothers Circus" is a 36x36 framed, mixed media work on stretched canvas. It was made with an appropriated b&w cabinet card of a late 1890s circus performer. Miss Cora was enlarged, so to speak, and cautiously cut out (exacto knife) and glued to the acrylic background. She has been in a number of gallery shows but despite her cheery disposition has not yet been adopted.
Note, there is a similar piece called THE RUBENESQUE HEDDA HOPPER in my prints section here on Artspan.
