WHOA IF I BE WICKED
This is a 7x5 digital work in a signed edition of ten on paper with the alternate title, Hamlet and the Bible at Pimlico. It adapts a French postcard from the early 1900s. Two twisted versions from a Bible verse and Shakespeare are added. From Job 10:15, "If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion." From Hamlet, “O, woe is me. To have seen what I have seen, see what I see!” WHOA in these times seems an aptly urgent cry to the spooked horses pulling us towards the abyss. Or something Shakespearean like that. Yeesh. Betting window at Pimplico closes November 3rd.
