MODEST ELI IN THE GARDEN OF UNEARTHLY DELIGHTS
"A Modest Yalie in the Garden of Unearthly Delights" is a print available in a variety of sizes. It is an adaptation of a painting still available. The 1995 work was made with b&w found photos including carte de visites and cabinet cards. Each was blown up, hand-colored, cut out and put into the Garden. The snake just arrived without invitation. The Yale (Eli) baseball player was a b&w cabinet card circa the late 1800s. The fig leaf guy and his buddy were two French photos that I combined. The painting is 11x14 on canvas board. It does not have the print border and is dated 2021. Contact me if interested in the painting, but do order the print adaptation now. Note: a somewhat similar print run in 1995 sold out. It did not have the border.
