TEXAS COWBOY COUPLE 1890
TEXAS COWBOY COUPLE (CIRCA) 1890 is an 8x6 signed print on heavy paper. The original cabinet card identified the men on the back, in very faded writing, as Estes and Thompson. They were from the Waco area. I enlarged the image, colored and mounted it on another cabinet card from Texas. The original was too damaged. As a background I added vintage kid’s wallpaper depicting Hopalong Cassidy, a childhood hero. I think the stars on the leather belt stand for the Texas lone star which in turn represents Texas independence. The piercing stares are most likely the result of peyote. #cowboy #texas #cigar #cabinetcard #ranchhands #hopalongcassidy #peterketchum
