WHITMAN'S SPIDER AND YOU
NOTE: CORRECTED VERSION 12/12/20 The heart of this piece is Walt Whitman's poem "A Noiseless Patient Spider" originally written in 1868 in a longer piece called "Whispers of Heavenly Death." The poem was republished in an 1891 edition of Leaves of Grass. Brush away the cobwebs and you will discover the poem is about what it means to be you. The noiseless patient soul seeking connections with the world and then making them, one thread at a time.. You spin out the threads and hope they will "catch somewhere." The limited edition print comes in different sizes on Artspan www.peterjketchum.com, and on a variety of things from the KetchumArt Red Bubble shop. See: redbubble.com/people/KetchumArt/shop.
